Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
At age 54, Marianne is a retired U.S. Marine Colonel, and has her PhD in Leadership Studies focusing on successful women in male dominated organizations. Her and her father are one of the very few father/daughter combinations to both retire from the U.S. Marine Corps at the same rank.
In today’s episode, in addition to revealing her regrets, she talks about women in leadership and having a voice, her leadership style and her journey to become a successful leader, the history of women in the military and her opposing opinion of women in combat. She doesn’t believe in five-year plans and believes at every moment, you have an opportunity to make a decision. You can be right or you can be happy. Marianne’s greatest lessons are if you don’t ask, you’ll never know and you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. She wants everyone to not err on the side of fear, but err on the side of regret.
This is one conversation you do not want to miss.
